Sirastudio are creative professional photographers and video producers in Harrogate, Yorkshire. We work nationaly and internationally, specialising in commercial photography and video production. We offer commercial, conference and event photography and video production services all over the UK. We create high quality portraits for business and organisations, emotive short films, timeless wedding photography and a range of technical photography solutions. We are also proud to be the official photographers and videographers for several local companies and organisations. As well as providing you with impactive photographs, our in-depth marketing experience means that we can take on the full role of a pr agency – taking care of all of your media needs, your website, your brochures, your videos, your ads and the organisation and promotion of your events. We are unique in that we supply stand-alone and full service packages direct to clients and freelance photography and video production services to marketing, design and pr agencies, newspapers and magazine editors. Even when we are just providing one aspect of our service, we will always have the bigger picture in mind. A bit about us
Simon Meyer
Born in London in 1965, I began to learn about photography in secondary school where my science teacher showed me how to process and print black and white film, I was hooked from then on. After 6th form I went on to study photography at Berkshire College of Art and Design. From there I assisted and freelanced in Reading, London, Manchester and was lucky enough to do a lot of traveling and working on a variety of projects around the world.
I joined the Metropolitan Police as a Photographer in 1992 and spent 10 years as a Senior Photographic Officer, working in Scenes of Crime and then Surveillance both in photography and video. I married Rachael in 1993 and we relocated to Harrogate in 2001 where I joined the West Yorkshire Police as a Senior imaging Officer and helped to introduce Digital Imagery into the force. We set up Sirastudio in 2008 to combine our talents in over 30 years of Image making and haven't looked back since.

Rachael Meyer
After I left art college in Harrogate in 1986, I started on my creative career path as a graphic designer. Dazzled by the bright lights of the big smoke, I left for Shoreditch, London where I worked as a PA for architects and interior designers, and met Simon – a photographer. After getting married and having two children, I worked as an event manager and as a PR account manager for blue chip clients and global corporations.
Moving back up to Yorkshire took a new twist. Simon and I set up Sirastudio, and I returned to college for two years to learn photography and video. In the last 15 years, I’ve been lucky enough to work in many worldwide locations, on PR, video, photography and event management assignments for global companies such as HKA and Benchmark Holdings, Govt Depts for Education and Transport, local radio Stray FM and community project: The Adversity Awards.
I have also undergone additional training with Humanists UK, to become a wedding and funeral celebrant, writing and conducting bespoke, non-religious wedding ceremonies in Harrogate, Leeds, York and the Yorkshire Dales areas (and further afield including overseas).
